This Privacy Policy describes how Polyloly ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use polyloly.com.

1. Information We Collect

Polyloly is designed to be used without creating an account. We collect minimal information:

• Anonymous usage analytics via Vercel Analytics (page views, country of origin from IP, referrer, device type). IPs are anonymized.
• Performance metrics via Vercel Speed Insights (Core Web Vitals data from real users).
• Tip transactions via Stripe: if you choose to send us a tip, Stripe collects payment information. We only see your name and email (provided to Stripe), the amount, and timestamp. We do not store card details.
• Google Analytics / Ads tags: if you reach us through a Google Ads campaign, Google may set cookies for conversion tracking and attribution.

2. How We Use Information

• To display aggregated tip statistics (first name + last initial, masked) on our public leaderboard.
• To measure advertising campaign effectiveness.
• To improve site performance and user experience.
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g., Stripe reporting requirements).

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• We do not send marketing emails (we don't collect emails except via Stripe tipping).
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not operate as a gambling platform, accept wagers, or facilitate financial transactions beyond voluntary tips.

We use minimal cookies:

• Essential cookies: none required for core functionality.
• Analytics cookies: Vercel Analytics (anonymous), Google Analytics / Ads (for conversion tracking).
• You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

• Analytics data: retained by Vercel for up to 12 months.
• Tip records: retained indefinitely for accounting (legal requirement, 5 years in Poland).
• You can request deletion of your tip record, but we may be required to retain it for tax/legal compliance.

8. Children

Polyloly is intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). If you believe we have collected such data, contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States (Vercel, Neon Postgres) and Virginia (Fly.io). By using Polyloly, you consent to data transfer to these jurisdictions, which may have different privacy laws than your own.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last modified" date. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
